The Family Outdoor Adventure Day will focus on bringing families together to play in the great outdoors. Lewis & Clark staff will be on hand to teach instructional clinics in kayaking, mountain biking, family cycling, camp cooking, disc golf, fitness and nutrition tips, etc. Family and corporate-sponsored competitive mini-adventure races will challenge participant's skills. The corporate-sponsored adult race will consist of two person teams competing in kayaking, cycling, a unique “tractor pull” element and cross-cut log sawing competitions.
The free event is open to the public and will raise funds for ARVD heart disease research. A pancake breakfast and hot dog lunch will be served. There will be live entertainment with bluegrass/folk music.
